Conversion to CONDos

In 1992 Cherry Creek Towers was sold to a Canadian developer, B-Corp. The conversion was handled by local real estate broker Jim Thoeming of Remax Cherry Creek. After thirty years there are still more than a handful of original owners. B-Corp did many insensitive things to the building: removed the original front entrance, cut a hole in an imported Italian terrazzo wall, replaced an elegant 2 panel entrance door with a common door with 6 glass panels, they extended the lobby by the patio depth. That addition became known as the greenhouse and sometimes the trailer. In an attempt to create more living space they enclosed the patios, encouraging homeowners to do the same. There were no standards so the once very clean look of the building has patchwork of glass colors. When you are standing in your unit and looking out the windows you don’t see any of that, you see the intermingling between the inside and and nature, one of the buildings most delightful features.
